A vital ministry within the Church because of what it seeks to achieve. It aims at equipping and training men for ministry by helping them to discover and utilize their spiritual gifts. Also, it provides men with a sense of belonging through organized Christian fellowship and it helps in developing and maintaining their commitment to God and the church family. In addition, it encourages men to be better husbands, fathers, providers, spiritual leaders, and also, strong community builders.
Spiritual
Helping men to discover and use their spiritual gifts:
- Enable men to experience spiritual renewal through group bible study and interaction
- Assist men in the development of an effective prayer life
- Encourage men to Fast as outlined in the word of God
Service
- Equipping and training men to adopt and demonstrate basic service attributes such as responsiveness, reliability, flexibility, availability and accountability
- Involving men in church and community projects activities
Soul-Winning
- Emphasizing that “everyone is a minister” and therefore a witness for Jesus Christ
- Encourage “follow-through” to men who respond to altar calls
- Encourage participation in street evangelism
Social
- Provide men a sense of belonging through organized Christian fellowship with other men in the church as well as with other churches on the district
- Helping men to maintain their commitment to the church family
- Encourage team building activities to include debates, group discussions, sport and competitions
